the true optimist

Goal #1: To sleep on my back, instead of my side - to fix this lumpy back of mine

i've been thinking abt this lately (yes i know, not a good sign), just how much my problems control my life. They leave me feeling frustrated and dejected and take all my energy.

But the more that i thought abt it...the more i realise how stupidly petty all my problems are. Who cares that i don't understand that small detail in the lecture? Who's fault is it that i feel like i'm not being the greatest daughter in the world? In the big picture, all i really need to consider is, how much am i contributing to anyone's life, how much am i adding to the world?

hehe and the truth is, not much. These problems are so useless, they don't get me anywhere and just emotionally rob me of  even enjoying 5 mins of my day. Add to the fact that more than half the world is starving or dying or both or in war or battling disease or just trying to get through the day...and my problems don't mean a thing. i'm worrying abt getting in trouble for talking on the net too much, when there are other ppl who don't get into trouble bc they're not lucky enough to have a family.

i'm so very lucky - and that's enough good for me today

PS.  hehe look at the optimist in me shine through
