Surprise Party....for me??

Amazing things do happen.

Well...i would have blogged this last night...but everytime i thought abt doing it i just got more shaken and stuff and couldn't handle it all...hehe i'm such a weird girl...but i'll try to get through this ok?

So yesterday, being Oct 6, went by like any other day. Uni was ok (french tutor speaking man had a nice accent) and then after finishing at 12 we went to carmen's to finish our surgical selective (almost there) but carmen was getting really tight abt the time we were going to finish.

She had told me earlier that we'll have to leave her place by 4 so that she can drop all of us off so she can meet 'a long lost family friend'. HMMMMMM....now i don't know why, but when i first heard that i was like..well that's iffy...but ok...i couldn't come up w a better excuse so i just went along...and then all of weds...she kept looking at the time going...hmmm...we have to pack up in whatever hrs...and in my head i'm like: what the heck is she in such a rush for? hehe we always go study and it never goes to plan..she should know by now...

hehe I even offered to catch the bus home but she was like...nah i'll drop u home...ok then. well...pulling out of carmen's place, carmen turns right instead of going straight to bec's and i'm like..oh aren't u going to drop bec off first? and carmen goes: bec's going grocery shopping w me...and me not thinking abt logic bc carmen did say that she was meeting friend at 5...but after i get dropped off..i was thinking to myself...huh...good luck carmen making back to ur place by 5 if u still have to take mady home and bec grocery shopping and get prepared and everything...

hehe the funny thing is carmen...even though i thought ur excuse was iffy, when i looked at the clock again at 5 i was like....oh hmmm...carmen should be out w her friend now...hmmm YEAH RIGHT!

Turns out, carmen drives her, mady and bec to nads bc they were preparing to give me a SURPRISE B'DAY CELEBRATION. at nads' place, they made me a BROWNIE cake and waited for paul and seetha who had " bad traffic problems". and they wrapped my presents too...hehe and when that was all done...nads and paul came in paul's car to my st first, mady and seetha in seetha's car went to pick up geri and carmen and bec went to get me a slurpee!

eheh SOO!!!! WHILE those ppl are having all that excitement (apparently, mady got to drive paul's car too!), i was sleeping in my bed bc i couldn't be stuffed doing epi....and then at around 6 30 or whatever...i hear this doorbell...and i'm like..awwww..dad's home...dinner will be made soon! and so i wake up and go back to my computer and 'pretend' to do some more notes...but my mind starts waking up and i'm like...huh how's that possible that i heard dad's voice and then he's at the door ...and hehe u guys know what i was thinking? AWWW CRAPULAR! I BET IT'S FUTURE SELF!!!! and she's here w some weird arse cake to celebrate my b'day (she got my b'day wrong before so i was expecting something like that)

and then dad starts going THU! ( i didn't hear the ur friends here part) and i'm like...aww...crapular..future self is here and i have to be all pleasant...and then dad goes THU ur friends are here...and i'm LIKE FRIENDS? what the?

Heheh at which the thing that ran through my head was...hmmm maybe carmen's here bc i left something at her place....but i truly did believe that when my dad said friends - there would only be one person at the door...

CAN U BELIEVE MY SHOCK when i come to the door, IN MY FRIGGIN PJS, GLASSES AND THE SLEEPY LOOK, to find ALL 8 OF MY FANTASTICULAR MONASH FRIENDS w a brownie cake and candles and all of them singing happy b'day!

OMG!!! ok...i dont' know if i told u guys right...but can u believe it, i don't recall hearing the HAPPY B'DAY SONG bc i was still trying to process exactly what was going on..why was my dad all happy looking, why were there a crowd of ppl at the door ( for a moment there i couldn't even tell who was there and who wasn't.....i think the only person i saw was bec...)

hehe IN FACT! despite the brownie and all, there was a period of time when i thought..oh goody, my friends came to visit....ABT TIME! hehe and then it was like..ohhhhh...they're here to celebrate my b'day..at which pt i was like...awww u guys...hehe what can u really say huh?

hehe and then OUT COMES THE BIG ARSE HAMPER w all these BEAUTIFULLY wrapped presents (thanks yam) and they're like..blow out the candles...and i swear in my head i was like...don't i do that when the song ends? hehe and then 30 secs later..oh...hmm...maybe they sang it at the door...oh yeah....so blow out the candles and then OMG THE PRESENT UNWRAPPING TIME! hehe SO MUCH FUN!!! i LOVED IT ALL! each gift had a clue on the front and i had to guess exactly what it was....hehe OMG SO MUCH FUNNESS!!!

hehe here's the list:
* gaytime ice cream - no these weren't wrapped but hehe coolies!
* slurpee - not wrapped either
* cosmopolitan magazine
* french manicure set!!! - yay!
* 2 bags of kool mints - yum!
* BACON!!!- i have bacon for the weekend....i have bacon for the weekend
* little miss giggle book - *giggles*
* 2 packs of indomie - hehee FUNNY hehe but where are the eggs?
* phonics flash cards - yes for my speech impairment
* phonics single letter sounds book - again, speech impairment
* a USA phrasebook - for the time i make that trek aross 50 states
* a Libra 2005 astrology book - heeh all of u know why!
* a block of cabury 3 wishes chocolate
* The OC soundtrack and The Love Actualy Soundtrack
* GUM! - hehe i never talk abt it..but i guess my annoying clicking tells everyone..i chew gum EVERYDAY
* 2 pairs of grandma panties - they're MASSIVE and hehe should have seen me explain to MY MOTHER their significance....

I really hope i didn't forget anything. I dont' think i did....hmmm...if i did, tell me so i can fix it yeah?

ANYHOOT....I LOVED IT. I love how each gift how a personal significance and that they all had a meaning to it....a little diffficult to explain to my parents why some things were in there (hehe but they were IMPRESSED!) hehe thanks heaps everybody, and esp to carmen - who as i understand it, was the MASTERMIND of it all ... hehe THAT TOTALLY ROCKED!

SO to some very very cool ppl but equally can be labelled SNEAKY BUGGERS,

Mady, Geri, Bec, Nads, Seetha, Paul and of course Carmeny.

Thank you so much. It was definitely unexpected, but much appreciated. I still don't think it was necessary to go through SO MUCH EFFORT for me who well...we all know... is kinda lazy ... so hehe i'm still amazingly overwhelmed by it all....i really can't describe what all of that did.
hmm... i feel special.

THANKS AGAIN U GUYS - LOVE U GUYS always and always ( and no not bc of this, but bc u guys are well....great ppl...hehe how corny of me)

ps. next time...can i be in the know???? the preparation of it all really SOUNDED LIKE FUN!!! i want to be in the preparation of it all!!! hehe yeah...
