summary of the day
hehe i am now $280 poorer....
but i did bank in my two cheques!!! which came to a total of $518.....hehe nice work...
well anyway.....so i went to bank in my cheques...the plan...it was...seriously...when i found out that paul and nads were still at monash (despite them knowing that kendrick had done his interview last week), and they both VERY KINDLY (and i'm not being sarcastic...they both offered....i didn't say come and then force them w a gun or anything like that) agreed to escort me on my shopping exhibition...
u see, december is a very expensive time for me. not only is it CHRISTMAS, but dec 16 is my parents' wedding anniversary and dec 17 is my bro' s b'day. now, i don't actually ever get my parents a gift for their anniversary (i am a gift enough already...hehe) but this year is their BIG 20TH YEAR!!! so i thought i'll get them something posh...and posh i did indeed!!!
i got them swagostki crystal - its two doves on a branch...its pretty...now intitally, i saw it for $350. anyway, we went to various stores in knox....and then we found one that had it in there, and it was priced at $350, and had a 10% discount...and i was ready to SNAP IT ALL UP since swagostki NEVER GOES ON SALE....but nads was like ....we should look elsewhere....and since i had time...AND PLUS, that lady!!!
i was like, yes, i like that one over there
she (sales lady): "do u know how much it cost?"
me: yes, $350.
stupid lady....as paul commented after : "we're doctors?" - ok, would be doctors...but mind u, wouldn't she think that its a special occasion and hence, THAT'S WHY i'm buying it expensive? STUPID LADY...lost me as a customer..
walked to the ACTUAL store, and it was saying it at $265....which is obviously cheaper than $350 - 10% of 350 (which is $35 if anyone was wondering) and i'm like OOHHH CHEAPER HERE I'M GETTING IT...but then nads was like...check myer bc it also give flyer points...
so we walk to myer and it is also $265 AND I'M LIKE COOLIES esp bc i feel safe in myer bc of its return goods policy (anytime) AND nads got to get 265 points on his fly points ( u owe me buddy).
after that's done, i'm liek....crapular, must get david present....so we walk to jb hifi (which paul argued w me didn't exist in knox...AH...YES IT DOES) and i got him a present too..
later this night, i took tina over to mady's bc we were baking for paul's dinner tomorrow night....
and paul still came along...ehhe
high lights of the day:
* me driving paul for the first time...he played havoc and kept beeping the horn to nads in the front...but it was the indian car besides nads that kept looking back...I BET THEY'RE SEETHA'S family friends!!!
* me and paul linking arms for the first time....bonding experience...hehe....of course....it actually starting out w me puting him in a head lock....but then i figured...linking arms would annoy the CRAP out of him....except the first time...he wouldn't let me unlink my arms...HEHE
* paul bought me a soft serve w a flake in it....too cheap for the sundae
* $4 maccas meal!!!! that is one awesome deal!!! made nads go get me one and then i shared it w the boys
* watching nads and paul make idiots of themselves...walking in the WEIRDEST fashion ever....ummm....ok....
* making the cake...IT TURNED OUT GOODLY!!! and the trifle looks GOOD
* pictionary....hehe I'M A CRAP drawer....
* spending time w tina, haven't seen her for a whole week!! stupid grounding rules
