Lesson #3: Nice comfortable heels w the right height makes all the difference btw dead feet and surviving feet...
Hehe...yep! i have some very great shoes! My feet weren't in shocking horror pain like it usually would be...i was so very pleased with my shoes! hehe (but poor poor mady....poor poor mady)
Oh yes...so yesterday was MEDBALL! hehe and much fun was had... i'll describe night as i saw it...
So i got home at 2 38 pm and mum was home...and she was like...u're late..hehe i am? yes u are....go have a shower and don't wash ur hair and we'll have to do ur hair straight away...oh ok...
Ok, so i wanted delta goodrem hair...but not possible wo professional help...i did end up w some curls but they came apart half way through the night...but it wasn't bad...hehe...and then i had to get make up done...and then figure how to friggin put friggin hollywood tape on so that i'm not paranoid all night! so basically from the time i got home to the time carmen picked me up (5 20 btw) i was getting prepared for the night...hehe
anyhoot...yes i quite like my dress but its way too hard to have to be so paranoid abt it! hehe the tape worked from 4 48pm to 12 46am so hey not bad for 4 strips of tape on both sides...hehe...but it was close...as fil mentioned when i went to talk to him at abt 11 pm (and he was totally drunk hehe) 'oh hey i can see ur tape' ... hehe subtle fil, subtle. so yes by the end of night...u could see half the tape but nothing else! hehe so i now know maybe some more securing tape next time...if there's a next time w that dress....
umm so shoes were great...i wore them to the ball and the afterparty...and my feet only ached near the end of the party so yay...hehe i have good shoes now for clubs! yay...joy...
Free spirits? GOOD STUFF...although i feel like i didn't take advantage of it...i had about 4 drinks i think (2 lemon, 2 orange) and lots and lots of water...hehe we'll see next time...and OMG...WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR TEQUILLA SHOTS? hehe i want a tequilla shot damn it!
Food? hmmm i had the chicken...it was quite filling, a little dry but it was actually pretty allright...entree was great if u like pumpkin soup (i'm not a huge fan and i quite liked it) and dessert...well I LOVED THE DESSERT....hehe bc i had been craving brownies and the chocolate pie mousse thingy kinda tasted like it (some ppl didn't like...but i thought it was alright) and then have ice cream (hehe and i stole 2 full spoons from nads and 1 from paul -wo either knowing...hehe see the training i've had of getting food off david wo him knowing is paying off!) and sweet fruits? SWEET
music: hmmm...well it started with YEAH!, usher but i DIDN'T GET TO DANCE TO IT! oh the shame! hehe but from there it sorta went downhill...came up a bit..downhill again...up a bit...down again....it was OK music to dance to...more RnB would have been nice...and maybe not so many renditions of summer rain (one is cool, two is like deja vu) or heaven something on earth (hhe i forgot the name)....would have also prefered to have kissing couples OFF the dancefloor(they took up so much room!)
Cool things that happened during medball:
* realising that we SO GOT OUR MONEY'S WORTH! for $60, we got a 3 course meal, free beer, wine and spirits, and a shot glass, free entry into silvers nightclub for afterparty and the venue was nice! (and mumus still made a profit? like...what the?)
* having everybody on the dancefloor...hehe go u sexy things! hehe amusing to watch paul have various 'techno' moves for some of the dance songs, hehe disturbing watching nads dirty dance w many many guys (very disturbing stuff), hehe amusing to watch MR. TC bring TC onto the dance floor and seeing MR. TC wannabe TRY to do that, hehe brilliant stuff seeing ppl who i thought were conservative ppl on the dancefloor, and being 'free spirited', finally seeing some ppl dance, hehe lots of fun dancing w my girls too
* having amit saying : looking good Christine....like it was ah what? did he just compliment me? ah what? did u catch that mady? did i misinterpret something? hehe cool bc now i can use it against him when he claims " u (as in me) have no fashion sense" No fashion sense MY ARSE!!!! hehe although i finally figured...oh he's drunk...
* reading dilshan's msg abt his dead fish...it was a great msg actually...funny stuff
* talking to a very drunk fil...hehe he's funny drunk...
* talking to a drunk stewy...he's voice goes up
the afterparty wasn't as crowded as i thought it would be...not alot of ppl stayed for long...disappointing...but still some good dancing going on...hehe
overall a good night was had! and then me and carmen only got 2 hrs sleep for today! hehe we're hardcore (although apparently, paul had half an hrs sleep...he wins)...would have been FUNNER had some of my plc friends made the afterparty...but it WAS STILL PERFECTLY ENJOYABLE...hehe can't wait for then next med function...
