surprise!

yesterday, 2oth of nov, us meddies decided to throw carmen a surprise b'day party...and it would have been a MEGA b'day surprise, sine her b'day is jan 30th! hehe but well, u know, she won't be in melbourne at the time...so.....2oth of nov is a good time as any other time...
hehe and it worked a treat!
we scared her SHITLESS and she practically banged into the wall and rebounded off...hehe but nah, it was cool!
and omg....KUDOS TO HEAD CHEF!!!! hehe casey was brilliant in the kitchen...looked really at home and the FOOD...damn good stuff...
and DESSERT!!! DROOL......DROOL.....DROOL.....lots of it everywhere...bc it was PARFAIT omg it was good...loved it...and the lemon cake to finish it off...hehe good stuff...
the CLEANING WAS AMAZING!!! so many things to clean! but i really did enjoy myself doing that...and thanks to all those who wanted to help....my biggest surprise was when paul walked in when everyone else had left (bc there was no room! so many plates and dishes took up everything) and asked: christine, do u need any help? JAW ON THE FLOOR BIG TIME...i mean...well..i mean...ummm...well....hehe....coolies.
hehe but the best part of course was seeing carmen's reaction and that she loved her bear. that was brilliant.

* geri: so much cleaning, so much preparation, so much mess! THANK YOU SOO MUCH for letting us use ur place.....it really helped...and ur house has this wonderful cosy feel to it too!! and thanks for the grocery shopping (w casey! thanks casey) and for the food making (did we end up putting sauce on that stir fry?)
* bec - who went from her place to geri's to help, then back again to her place so carmen can pick her up...hehe...thanks for the help...and the cleaning ...and the cooking....
* lana: thanks for the great support! hehe u say u did nothing...BUT U DID GET THE ROSMARY...VITAL INGREDIENT! oh and the jap game stories...they were cool
* mady: argh!!! hehe those PARFAITS! what a great idea!!! argh!!! hehe beautiful stuff. goooood idea...
* jennifer: who helped mady w the parfaits and gave us some of the food ideas! she rocks too!!!!! she's a great chef i hear....hmmm...casey and jennifer...open a restaurant maybe?
* nads: nice work on the lemon cake and for helping w the buying of the present
* poopies: chopping up carrots, taking bec back to her house and picking up rosmary??? why aren't u a talented boy (please note sarcasm)
- all of ur contributions helped pull of that great night! thanks HEAPS DUDELIES FOR putting up w my hammering...hehe...and look at the end result - it was GOOD FOOD and haha, carmen is still shaking!!
