soccer match
Goal #2: I don't know when, i don't know how, but I'M DEFINITELY going to make my way to England, just to visit Leeds Castle. And while i'm in the area, i may as well visit all the other castles as well.
LULL. hehe, yes today was one of those lull days. i could probably retell u abt everything that happened today - that is, if u give me enough time to sit there and ponder, but nothing of significance happened. i sort of floated my way through the day, quite possible bc i have had abt, hmmm 15 hrs sleep over 3 nights? See, i need to learn that no, it's not good to start notes at 12 am in the morning...yup...lesson learnt. SO hopefully, i'm going to bed early (early being 1 am, hehe) - if i'm on later and u see me, yell at me and tell me to go to bed..bc i think i need it...took a long nap, didn't even realise mum came home...and that's really surprising for me...usually i have a knack for waking up just before they get into the house so it looks like i didn't nap at all...hehe
Despite not having a very intriguing day, there were funny moments . The standout had to be when i went w mady and geri to watch what i think was known as "pat's soccer match" - which was meant to be a match between Australia vs. Botswana. However, when we got there, i swear, me and mady were so confused w who was playing on what team. I think we got nic to explain it to us abt 50 million times - it was blacks vs whites. In the blacks team, there were the botswana students, and those students who are from indian, sri lankan backgrounds. and the white team - were the nah dah, white students plus ben, nads, osama. But i don't know, it was still pretty confusing watching them play, bc when we first learnt abt how it was split, we didn't know that the indians/sri lankans were included in the blacks and i think we also took it that ben, nads, osama were actually on the blacks team...whatever...it was confusing...but enough of that, the funny moments:
* nic changing his alliance - " i'm the coach for the white team, but they're losing - so now i'm going for the blacks! Go blacks!"
* vyom giving us a very cool commentary of what was going on - "ben, u suck. u're not going to make the (i think its called) corner kick. Don't even bother. U won't do well. Don't bother kicking", "look at that traitor, osama, not w his black brothers"
* nic randomly yelling out : " oh everyone look at amit! he's in his i'm too cool pose again!" - made extra funny bc a) when mady and i walked over to the field, we were like "oh look there's amit...looking too TC for the match", b) Amit got embarassed!! hehe
* having rahul walk over to us, and us going "not seeing u do much out there rahul". His reply: "what! i had an admission! an admission!" us: "yeah and? kick a goal already"
yes all of this made for some very cool entertainment. We were surprised by some ppls skill too btw - like zamir, neal and dilshan (apparently we missed him blocking and kicking a goal! which btw, this was a comment made abt him "yeah, not bad for a guy he's size", hehe). End result, 10 -2 to the blacks. we didn't see the end, but for the 20 mins we were there, it was pretty funny to watch...hehe
well i guess that was the most exciting thing abt my day - sad really, bc i felt like such a girly girl (like all the girls watching the guys show off their skill etc). hmmm, although me, carmen and geri had a ball looking into each other's eyes and bursting out laughing watching the other person come up close to ur face - oh and trying to find out blood vessels! Tomorrow promises to be more fun, heehee where i'm actually doing some more girly stuff..hmm..what's up w that?
Oh, and carmen, bec, don't u guys dare point it to my SSness.
